OK 1998 Honda accord v6 3.0 200,000 miles .... Water pump blew it got hot but only for a few blocks .... Then shut it off .... Replaced the pump timing belt tensioner all new belts ...double triple checked my points thought everything was good ... Now have grinding /knocking noise coming from the engine only when accelerating and there's also a loss of power .noise gets louder farther I drive any help would be amazing not sure if I'm off a tooth or threw a rod 😎

One mans grinding/knocking is another mans scraping/pinging.
