Default Is there a difference in EK USDM and Type-R shifters?

I have a 99' EM and am interested in getting a CTR shifter boot and was looking at maybe a short throw shifter while I was there. Either S2 or whatever. I tried searching but to no avail for my particular question. I am not referring to the linkage rods to the trans. I am just referring to the shifter itself. (i.e. is it a shorter or longer throw) I know the ***** are weighted differently, just wondering about the stroke.

I'm not sure about the USDM EK myself but I know the CTR shifter is a shorter throw than regular stock EKs over here. The CTR shifter being a dual bend. See here:

If you should just find a b-series shift linkage.
