Gotta lift the front of car and slide under to the shift rods. Remove the shift rods and R& R the shifter. Might have to tweak your hand a bit to get around the exhaust pipe.
Good luck

there she is, what is that copper washer for? there is only one, it has the same inner diameter as the hole where the bolt for the shift rod goes thru on the bottom of the shifter, but shouldnt there be two, one for the other side as well?

Re: (BeerBaron105)
that copper washer goes on either side of the shifter where the bolt connects it to the shift rod. there should be 2, you are correct. see if you can find one that is the exact same. also, lube up the ball on the shifter with grease if u have any, not WD40. lithium grease works good. best to do when the engine is cold, cuz the exhaust pipe is RIGHT there. good luck.

I would imagine it's to go in between the lever and the shifter, but if you only got one?? Maybe you can replace them with stainless ones?
I have a B&M one and it had neoprene bushings insted of copper washers.

Re: (spnfed)
the copper ones allow for a smoother shift than rubber ones. the stock shifter has rubber ones that cover the bearings. i'd imagine you could use stainless ones, but they would have to be the EXACT same size, inner diameter and thickness, that is.
