Default doing the ckf bypass on crv

I am convinced this is what is keeping my jdm swap from running right. the link here .:FFS TechNet : CKF Bypass Trick :. is kind of the go to and only guide, and I have wired it this way and a couple others.

the way here never has and still does not make any sense when it tells you to cut or depin the ecu plug at c22 and c31. if you do literally what they direct you essentially are taking the circuit for the ckf out of the ecu and splicing in the wires of the now unused connector into the cyp sensor. theres no way that can be right, but I tried it anyway and car runs bad.

then I tried the same concept but in a way that makes more sense to me, basically same thing but cutting the wire to the unused sensor instead of on the ecu side. with c22 and c29 spliced together going into the ecu and same with 30 and 31, but also didn't work.

then I tried a way a couple of other people have told me first hand was working on their crv which is simply putting a jumper between the c22 to c29 wires and nothing else, no change.

next step I want to do is redo all my connections, but first I still have no god damn idea the right way to do this. the only guide seems to me to be very wrong so I am not sure what to do, as of now I lean towards just the jumper since I had 2 people first hand say it worked on the crv. just curious if anyone had some input or could explain the logic behind depinning both wires to the cfk sensor if that is in fact the right way to do this.

Gonna be swapping in a jdm long block into my crv within the next day or so too. I've read the same articles and been wondering the same thing. Don't really want to swap the oil pump out if I don't have to.

Honestly if youre going to keep the crv for a while and have an extra 100 bucks, do what I did and buy a new OEM oil pump shipped from hondapartcheap.com. its more like 130 . Its just a headache, at least for me, to do electrical wiring and I always mess up. Or if you don't want to spend the cash then just get a new oil pan gasket and use your old oil pump. I had to do a ckf bypass on a h22 but I re pin it to a new plug that would mate with the jdm plug for the dizzy. IMO much easier to switch out oil pump.

777777,
Did you ever get it straightened out? Thanks! Did you use JDM dizzy or put the USDM one on? Also, did you use the JDM intake manifold, or go with the USDM? I got my JDM engine installed last night. I test fired it, fired right up and purred perfectly. I will try to drive it tonight...I haven't done the ckf trick yet.
