2005 crv coolant temp gauge reading low

I just recently picked up a 2005 CRV SE with 70k miles on it and ive noticed the temperature gauge reads lower than I would expect it too

here is a pic of the gauge at full warm, is this normal?

that looks just like mine,, so I bet is normal

scanned the temp while the car was at operating temp, ranged from 185 - 190F
