Default half ton setting on hoist for v6?

I'm a bit suspicious on that half ton setting on the 2 ton engine hoist.
will that be ok to pull a 3.5L v6 block without transmission?

the jack says 8 ton limit the hoist itself is 2 ton (short arm)
.5 ton extended arm.
just seems a bit suspicious to me if they are actually rated at 1000lbs(half ton) or is like Chinese stereo equipment claiming 5000 watts

this type of hoist not same brand just same type

As the Honda 3.5l engine complete without transmission only weighs in a 250lb I see no problem lifting it. 94
