Default 1994 accord electrical oddities

Haven't had a chance to start troubleshooting but in the last day or so the car has been acting odd electrically. Yesterday while driving if I turned the headlamps on, the tach and speedo would dip sharply and the abs light would come on for a little bit and there was a constant clucking in the passenger side of the dash. Today after driving about 40 miles from my town to the next bigger one for a med appointment. I began to smell antifreeze as well as noted the temp gauge was at the 3/4 mark at a stoplight. The temp went back down when I began moving again. It never went back over the half mark after that and it's normal place is at the 1/3 mark. When I got to the place of the appointment I noticed the rad over flow cap was wet but notjing else. And when I shut the car off the underhood cooling fan relay was clucking incessantly. The rad fan does run. I noted that before I shut off the car. Whatever the problem is, it's draining the battery bad between starts forcing me to jump the car

On the way home, when using the window switch, it kicked off the incessant dash clicking and my ABS light.

Draining the battery or is the battery not connected properly. Hint, low voltage or poor ground will "trip" the ABS light.

When you opened the hood while the car was still running were BOTH fans running or just one?

So you removed the driver side fan....Why? Put it back on and this might solve the over heating situation.

Again, this sounds like a poor connection on the battery/charging system to me.....you have to "jump start" it to get it running, the ABS light and clicking from the pass side (guess where the relays and abs module are located). I've been wrong before and I'm basing my suggestions on your description of the issue.....please re-check the charging/battery system - all ends of all cables connected to the battery.....have the charging system checked to be sure it is putting out the proper voltage.

I appologize for my lack of clarity. Both fans are in the car. The ac one doesn't come on because ac is broke at the moment. Had the battery checked this morning and the parts store said it was ok. I'm going to replace the terminals just I'm case and see what I can do to clean up my grounds. I appreciate the help and insight so far.

Don't take this wrong......working ac or not, if thermo "a" sees temp about ~195 BOTH, BOTH, BOTH fans will run.......did I say "BOTH", It does not matter if the ac is working or not.

I'm trying to help

Did you have the battery/charging system checked out?

Battery was tested good. replaced both clamps on battery terminals. No ABS light or clicking on 40 mile trip on way into work. Will check fans again after arriving home.

Problem seems to have vanished with changing the terminals on the battery (I went to the fleet connectors because they have a bigger valley for the cables.)

Glad to hear it was something simple...or at least seems to be a simple fix. Good luck, keep us posted.
