I need to find a muffler for my 2002 Honda Civic SI. Pretty much would like to stick with stock Honda Genuine. But it looks to be discontinued. Would anyone know if this is the right part number for it? 18030-S5T-A00. Some online sales sights recommend muffler 18307-S5T-A01 and gasket 18229-SP0-003 instead. That legitimate?
I didn't think about this until today but after having my own exhaust fun this weekend(welding and installing some used Tanabe parts off of an RSX) I realized that you could probably go to a muffler replacement place like a Midas or something who would be able to sell you a stock replacement muffler and save you some dough. I would think they have a muffler that is similar to the stock muffler in shape, size and quietness. If you haven't already ordered an OEM then it would be worth calling a Midas or some place similar that specialized in stock replacement exhaust/repair.
Have you received the muffler yet? Could you possibly post any pics of what it looks like? Is it the correct, dual tip muffler that comes on the car originally? I've been desperate to find a stock exhaust setup for my '05 since I bought it. Thanks!

I did receive and install it, dual-tip, and everything seems to be fine. The original was no longer offered, but the parts I listed were the correct replacement in my case.
Great! That's what I was hoping to hear. One more question... did the muffler come with the polished tips installed as well? I'm assuming so? Thanks for the info.

They are there now, but whether they are new, or the old ones re-used, I don't know.
For those of you still watching this thread, I can verify that these mufflers are the correct stock ones. It looks awesome! If you've been on the hunt for one of these like I have, this is your part!
