code 1 and 6 on 1992 honda accord
my 1992 Honda accord started sputtering and I was barely able to make it home. the cel did come on and if I am reading the codes correctly(1 and 6) it is referring to the 02 sensor( been a problem in the past) and the ECT. Interestingly, the tach went crazy earlier today and then finally quit working.. My question is this some how connected to the CEL codes or a coincidence that it happened the same day. Thanks
Update. Replaced ect sensor and O2 sensor. Now the car won't start. Put old parts back on and it still won't start. I am getting fire at the plugs. Getting fuel but I don't know the pressure. Will have to borrow gauge. My new questions are can you still get fire at the plugs if the distributor or the main relay is bad. Wondering about the distributor because I read the tac is connected to the igniter. Thanks
This might be relevant to your situation. I did a quick search and saw a couple of cases where replacing the ignition switch solved the problem. Someone might be able to walk you through testing the electrical system with a multimeter.

Update. Fuel pressure is ok(32-33). Rechecked spark with My harbor freight tester. The light came on. My friend said he wanted to see the actual spark on the plug. We could barely see a spark. He said it should be much more obvious. Now I am leaning toward a distributor problem. Thoughts?

Changed the ignition coil and distributor. She is back running. The connector to the temp sensor broke. Guess the only place to get another one is the junk yard???
Sorry for the long leave.
It was the fuel pump. Once I replace it, she run well. Still ride it until now. I repaint it since lots of corrotion around the glass frame. I decided to remove the front and rear windshiels frame and use just silicon.
