LS basemap on chipped P28
Will a chipped P28 run a LS basemap properly? I know in crome you can disable VTEC, just want to make sure that it will work since P28 ecus have the hardware components for vtec.
Yes the ecu will effectively be whatever ecu the program on the chip is. As long as the map is a P75, for all intents and purposes the ecu is now a P75. Also, is your engine going to be stock or does it have bolt ons and such? If its modified even a little, i would run a modified tune. Stock P75 will likely be safe, but you will be leaving significant power on the table. Even a simple intake/header combo on a B18 can cause it to want a solid 10-15% more fuel across the board, and the stock timing maps can stand to be cleaned up a lot on anything with spirited driving or performance in mind. If I can get Crome to work with Windows 10 again I would be happy to send you a Few BINs for a good LS basemap. I assume your not running S300 lol
