I have a 88' civic hatch and I have a b18a running obd-0 in it. My speed o quit working about a month ago and ever since then it has been throwing vss light on me. I want to get rid of this ugly *** light. I checked the cable to make sure it didnt just slip out of the tranny. I was using the civic speed o cable. Is the integra cable longer and will it work?

 

When mine when out on my b16 I just went to the junk yard and got one off a 90 integra it is actually a bit shorter but works great and its not to short it perfect.

 

have you tried replacing the vss? it's probably bad. that's what i did when my crx threw a code 17.

 

well it didnt start throwing the code until the speed o quit working. I dont want to use a cable that is shorter i need a longer one. My curent cable that is not working is pulled thigt as hell and I think thats why its broke.

 

have someone help u and with a hand drill, clip the cable and turn it,,, and have someone inside tell u if the speedo moves.. if it does, make sure the cable goes in the right way... reset ecu and see if it helps...
