I set my valve lash to .006 intake and .008 exhaust last night. I am running Ferrea competition plus valves and was wondering if anyone runs a looser spec because of the heat that high boost generates. When I say high boost I mean what ever psi I end up at to make 500whp on E85 with a TR3030R.

 

Use OEM specifications

 

Ill leave it as-is. Just making sure all bases are covered. I have to drive a 5 hours one way to get tuned and dont want issues.

 

never hurts to double check especially on a new build after a few heat cycles, but you do want them at OEM settings

 

It'd keep it whatever specifications are used with the camshaft used in conjunction with the valvespring. I would not set it "looser". 500whp on a VelociRaptor on E85 doesn't require more than about 23psi (depending upon dyno and such). So, don't overthink it.
