No Intercooler
I am currently trying to run in a class that wont allow me to use my liquid to air intercooler. My question is can i run with out 1 with runing my e85 or changing to e98? My setup is a built lsv on 22lbs with holset hx35. Any input is appreciated.
Correct.. Do not do this. Get an air-to-air to run. And no, the fuel had nothing to do with keeping the cylinder temperatures low enough to not run some sort of exchanger
You will go boom
You will go boom
Drag car. May see 100 miles a summer..
Yeah, definitely no..... DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT AN EXCHANGER ... Air-to-air or air-to-water. If you can't run either, don't run that class, and go to another class where you can. It's not worth destroying the engine for the basic stuff.
I know there are some outlaw classes that were not allowing intercoolers thinking it was a big power adder that would level the playing field. And these were some seriously big-budgeted cars ($150K+), that try to utilize alternative fuels with injectible solutions, and all to no avail. The class rules were immediately changed... It's Just Not Worth It.
