Default Best SOHC Vtec for boost?

What's up, I have a 2000 EK hatch and been seriously thinking of having a SOHC Vtec motor built on boost. My question is which SOHC would be best to make 350whp with? What motor would do best for this project?

Type you question in Google and you get all the answers you need. The general consensus seems to be D16Y8.

D16z6 if you can get one for your self . Bore and Stroke is too good for a turbo setup . P08 head code and P28 Ecu .

B-series IMO, you get different displacement options, better transmission choices and the DOHC head is just Icing on the cake....SOHC your basically stuck with 1.6L displacement and not much choices for transmissions either

I was going to go with b series but just want to experiment with a single cam and see what I can get out of it. I appreciate everyone's input.

yea not the best deal...does it come with transmission? Kinda overpriced for a sohc out here there usually a couple hundred for a longblock. but maybe its actually in good condition if hes asking that much...or maybe its built?

Guess F series doesn't exist anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
More challenging, though much more rewarding than any D

ahhh I actually am a fan of F series, I loved my F22 Accord Vtec, however Parts are not easily obtainable like b series, its also not a very good match for the civic chassis as far as space requirements. I would do it if I was building an accord tho.

as far as "challenge" or "being different" not some thing I really care for, I dont do this for pride or anything like that just for enjoyment purposes

Why do people bother with D's anymore? You can get a stock LS for a couple hundred bucks, put a basic kit on it and run around 250-300 for years without trouble.

Any stock D-Series rods are junk for boost.
