Got the valve drive gear many teeth out of synch 1996 v6
The timing belt slipped while turning the crankshaft to seat new timing belt. Now I am several teeth out of synch on the rear cylinder head and roughly in synch on the front cyclinder head. If I try to turn the rear cam back by hand it fells pretty tight . I don;t want to force it for fear of interference between the valves and pistons. Is there a best approach to getting the cam gear back where it should be? The obvious one would be to pull rear cyclinder head. I am hoping there is quicker solution like loosening the valve adjusters or the cam holding bracket. or perhaps there is a position of the crankshaft that allows me to safely rotate the rear camshaft gear.
