I have an EG hatch.
I listed all that in the initial posts on both threads, and people misunderstood — so I simplified.
Eibach/KYB pairing or full Eibach kit.
Looking to drop 1-1.25".
Found a full pro kit for 462 shipped, but it was for a coupé/sedan.

Well...I've had good luck with thmotorsports. Contact them via the marketplace.

An entire Tein SB setup is $500ish. They come as ride height adjustable coilovers with matched shocks. These are an excellent setup that will ride well and last long.

KYB GR2's are not performance shocks. Your eibach/kyb pairing is not the best idea. The shocks may never "blow", but the ride quality and control will not be the best. They are just an OE replacement shock.

Koni oranges are a decent entry level shock if you're bent on buying shocks and springs despite the fact that it's 2016.

But THM carries either. Rockauto likely carries KYB's for less $$, though.

Hence the question you were asked in the prior thread.

 

I really wanted to do coilovers, but I live in Oklahoma (for the moment) — you could shatter your spine as it is. That's also why I'm sticking to 1.25".
I have considered Tien, so I may look back into that.
Rockauto is pretty bad on selection. Checked them long ago.

2016? You're right — I should look into magnetic or air. Now, if you'll just kindly send me the $$$...

Tein SB's ride better than stock in most applications. -1.25" is within their drop specifications. Welcome to 2016.

My Tein SA's have been on my daily driven TSX for years and about 55k miles. They definitely ride better than stock. I'm not the only one that thinks so.

I live in the Chicago burbs. So...bad roads R us. I've also driven the car to/in Detroit, Ottowa (Canada), and NYC...as well as several other road trips.

Have you ever seen the roads in NYC? Oh. My. God.

The coilovers handled all of it just fine...the ride perches still move easily, and they have barely any rust after 3 or 4 years of use (chicago winters = salt).

They definitely ride better than lowering springs on stock replacement shocks. A 1.25" drop is perfect for SB's or SA's.

SB = street basis.
SA = Street Advance.

Our sportwagon is also on Tein SA. It used to be on KW ST...but the ride quality is better with Teins. People that are 50-60 years old have ridden in both cars and complimented how smooth the ride is.

Despite them being smooth, the handling is also pretty good. Good amount of low speed damping to control the car without making it uncomfortable.

 

I'll definitely look into it, but have you ever seen Oklahoma roads? Just wondering. People are always shocked.

I checked out TH Motorsports. Great site! As it turns out, it ends up actually being substantially cheaper to just order an Eibach Pro System.
I know, I know — the dampers don't need to be Eibach, but $463 shipped is too good to pass up on.
Unless someone else has a suggestion within that same price range?
