Cannot find Diagnostics port!
I have an SRS light on my 1997 Honda accord. I have had numerous technicians look for it and failed. They have checked behind the steering column, ashtray, front passenger carpet (side of centre column) engine bay and boot. Is there anyone with any answers or experience with this?

Is it the OBD? It is behind the center ashtray. You have to pull out the ashtray to see or access it.
HAH!
This is a mostly US based board so you may not get the correct answers for your car unless you state where your car is from. After '92, depending where you are in the world, the Accord is no longer a single model. There are US/French, British/Euro, and the various Japanese models.
Check your VIN, it will have the car chassis code CB#, CC#, CD#,CE#, CF#, CG#, CH#, CL# and so on. Whatever your chassis letter and number code are will inform you of what region and submodel your car is.
OBDII did not show up on European and Oceania vehicles til '01/'02. Japan I think started in '98.
If your car is either, you may not have the OBDII port.
Look under the dash, there will either be the 16 pin port for the OBDII system, or a panel that needs to be removed. Check the side of the center console as well.

You might just have the two pin blue connector. EDIT: Some Honda based cars also use a white or brown connector, Rove 600 comes to mind./EDIT
Look under the glovebox door, or over by the passenger kick panel nearside by the passenger door. It may be in a holding connector, or simply floating in space.
Locate the TWO wire blue connector, that is your SCS connector, jumper it with a wire and turn your Ignition to II(ON). Codes will be of the OBD-I type and blink through the CEL, or D4 lamp.
