any boosted cd5 accords out there?
hey guys, i am in the process of boosting my 94 accord coupe (f22b1) and was wondering about other boosted cd5 accords, what setups worked for you guys and what didnt. any suggested IM's and different heads, how long yor internals lasted and how you tuned the car etc. THE WHOLE 9!!
I'm having a minor issue with mine atm but check out the build log in my sig. Also use the search function there's quite a few F-series turbo builds on here but it's not very easy to find a lot of the OP's of those builds around the forums these days. Lastly, check out HondaSociety.com their 5th Gen Accord community is MUCH more lively than this one and there's good amount of SOHC turbo builds there too. GL
Do an F23 intake manifold swap. Buy a larger throttle body to go with it and bore/port match the upper plenum. You'll get good gains for little cost NA or boosted.
I've had many turbo setups in my CD5 over the years. The middle limit of the stock internals is about 300wtq. Dial that back some if you want longevity. Go a little further if you want to risk spitting a rod out. Pistons won't be an issue with a good tune.
Headstuds are cheap insurance for headgasket issues above 12psi.

on your past setups have you tuned yourself? im between paying for a professional tune and buying an ostrich enulator myself and tuning with crome. any suggestions?
btw my setup is only estimated 250whp.
running 4g63 custom mani.
450cc inj (dsm)
evo3 big 16g turbo
255 fuel pump
p28 ecu
evo 8 fmic
etc.
Yes I tune all my setups myself. I've been tuning for many years now. Don't waste your money on Crome. Save a little more and get Neptune RTP. You'll be glad you did.

if there are any informative links you can throw my way for tuning let me know id appreciate it
You'll need to start by doing a lot of research and reading on it. If you're not willing to do that then just take it to a professional.
Neptune RTP doesn't require an emulator. It uses a separate add-on board, called a demon, that allows users to directly interface with the ECU and software.
