Default turbo b18a1 3400 redline problem

hey everyone I have a turbo civic with a b18a1 running a t25 turbo and I have 450cc injectors with a walbro 255 pump. I got the ecu chipped by phearable.net and he put his own custom basemap on there for the car.. he set a 2 step rev limit of 3400 rpms.. I am tuning the vehicle myself and I've come across a problem... (I am using crome tuning) 2 step works at 3400 rpms but not only in neutral. it does it in every gear almost as if it just redlines.. I created my own custom basemap even without 2stwp and it still does it in neutral and every gear which blows my mind.. any help is appreciated o

Sounds like limp mode. Is there a MIL? Also, you have to wire up a clutch switch if it has been configured to have a two-step in "neutral."

The transition from "two step" to conventional redline requires the ECU to see vehicle speed. Does your speedometer work and does your datalog show vehicle speed when moving ??? If not, this is your problem. Fix the VSS to the ECU and you should be good.
