What the heck did i break?
Okay so i am working on my 92 honda accord. I think it has the h22a or the f22a i cant remember the specifics. Any its just the stock 2.0l SOHC and as i was tearing it down i broke two things that are attached to the outside of the cylinder head. They are on the left if you look at it with the timing gear on the right and they seem to be hardwired into the wire harness. What are they?
if I had to take a guess, being that this is the distributor end of the engine, I'd say that you are referring to the engine coolant temp sensors. There is a 1 wire ECT sensor and a 2 wire ECT sensor located directly under the distributor housing. They break quite often when people are unaware of there existence.
They are not hardwired into the harness, there are connectors on them. The single wire is a simple push on pull off. The 2 wire is a regular plastic connector.
