Default F23A Engine with F22A1 Tranny

Hello, I have recently bought a 94 Accord EX Automatic.
It came with the F22A1 Engine, engine had head-gasket leak and a few other problems and i would prefer to replace the engine due to the current problems, highmilage and being that its with-in my Budget. I called a JDM Shop around the area that sells engines and asked for the F22 but was told all they have in stock at the moment is F23A and H Series engines.
I spoke with someone there and he mentioned that i can fit the F23A engine with the F22 Transmission with no major Mods other than using the F22 Distributor and F22 Intake Manifold.
I took a look at the engine ( JDM F23A ) in person and it seems like its the same as the F22A1.
Wondering if this is all true before i purchase the engine, and would also like to know if i have replace any other parts/components and if it will be Plug and Play with the F22A1 Wiring Harness.
All and any Advice is Gladly Appreciated.

As far as the transmission goes you will have no issues, it will bolt right up.

As far as the engine goes, is the JDM F23A VTEC? If so you will need a bit more than just the distributor and intake.

To be honest with you. If you are going to go threw with the swap. I would keep the F23A intake and throttle body.

The engine is a JDM F23A Vtec.
The intake and Distributor will come with the engine but I was told it wouldn't work due to the fact that does are ODB2 and my accord has ODB1.
What else will I have I replace in order for this engine to work properly?

Does the engine also come with the original engine wire harness? If not you're gonna have a lot more issues then just the intake and distributor.

It's coming with the ECU and some wires, not 100% sure if those are what your referring too. I will get in contact with them tomorrow and find out.
Again, thanks for all and any advice on this.

Just spoke with the JDM Shop, was told it does come with Orginal harness, ECU, and a few other wires that are still there.
