Car keeps dying, engine noise in valve cover
1997 accord SE
I bought the car 2 weeks ago, it ran fine for 2 weeks then I pulled into work and heard a clacking sound. It drove ok on the way home, noise was still there. Oil was about half of what it should be so I topped it off.
Next day it died outside my job. After work I was able to start it and it drove a few miles then died again. I pulled the valve cover off because that's where the noise was coming from, nothing looks broken. One plug wire was soaked with oil at the bottom.
No CEL, it starts and idles but when I put it in gear, it dies.
Any one have any ideas, I need to get this thing running to get to work Monday.
Thanks, Jason.

when mine did this i pulled the valve cover and seen nothing. 3 days later my my cam bolt finished backing out and sheered me keyway off between the cam and the cam gear. so make sure your cam bolt is tight too.
