To those with side-cut valve covers...!
Have any of you experienced more or less engine noise when you went with a side-cut valve cover? Perhaps cam gear noise?

maybe just belt tension noise but shouldn't be anything exsesive or really a major difference. if it's noticably louder something dousn't sound right. but like he said it's a lot easier to adjust cam gears.

there is not a lot more noise or anything...but consider the consequences if a rock or other foreign object fell in there and got caught between the belt and pulley... for a street driven car, i would keep it all closed. if you want the open setup for adjusting, get an extra front upper cover and valve cover...wont cost all too much. i know i find dirt and rocks inside my engine bay from time to time.

Re: (littleredcivic)
Well I'm very in tune with my car, and when i replaced my stock 14" steelies and covers with my new 16" rims, there open spoked and I noticed a bit more wind noise from the wheels.
