Does anyone has any tutorial/howto on how to make the check engine light on the dashboard act as a revlimit/shiftlight?

I believe this comes stock on the EK9 Type-R ECU, but since it does not come in mine i was planning to install an aftermarket shiftlight and wire the the check engine light to it.

Any feedback is appreciated.

That is a feature of your tuning system. It is not a matter of rewiring anything.

I know it might be a feature of the ECU itself, but this is not the case, that is why i am asking to setup one

 

I was offered that option by my tuner and it seems like a very popular thing, but I would get stressed every time I got to really high RPM and saw my check engine light come on, lol.
