2002 Honda CRV
Hello fellow CRV owners....
I just recently purchased a 2002 Honda CRV from a private party street seller during the cold season out here in LA. Now that summer is upon us I tried the AC and no cold air at all. I took it to a service station and was informed that the compressor "blew up". He said it might be $1300 job for a complete fix (compressor, condenser and drier).
I was looking at ebay for the parts. Found a kit for $260 which contains all the parts. Anyways, long story short. And I wanted to know the difference between a Base Model, EX Model and LX Model. How can I tell which model of CRV do I own?
Thanks!

Your VIN.
You won't just need a compressor, you'll need to clean out your lines and hope to god your condensor and evaporator aren't clogged with metal shavings.

What sequence of numbers in the VIN will it tell me my model of CRV?
