I have a 92 Civic LX with 240,000 miles.
I'm trying to adjust my trunk lid because for the last few months it kept getting water inside the trunk and also has a gap on the driver side of the trunk.
I know to loosen the 8 bolts that adjust the trunk, BUT how is it adjusted step-by-step?
I can't adjust from INSIDE the trunk because bolts are hidden in the waterway when the trunk lid is closed.
I have looked on Youtube and Googled like crazy, and there's barely any tutorial on how to adjust a Civic Trunk.
I need some help here...I have loosed all bolts and can't adjust it correctly. I have loosened one at a time and still can do it right.
Re: Trunk Adjustment...How is it done? (92 Civic LX)
I adjusted the trunk the best I could yesterday for nearly 2 hours ...it looks better but it's not what I want. Also the trunk has a hard time closing, as if the striker bar is too far from the latch because I have to slam the trunk to close it.
Here's some pics:
Misaligned a bit...
Trunk leaks from the Left side(this side)
Right side looks tight...I guess?
