Trunk Adjustment...How is it done? (92 Civic LX)
I have a 92 Civic LX with 240,000 miles.
I'm trying to adjust my trunk lid because for the last few months it kept getting water inside the trunk and also has a gap on the driver side of the trunk.
I know to loosen the 8 bolts that adjust the trunk, BUT how is it adjusted step-by-step?
I can't adjust from INSIDE the trunk because bolts are hidden in the waterway when the trunk lid is closed.
I have looked on Youtube and Googled like crazy, and there's barely any tutorial on how to adjust a Civic Trunk.
I need some help here...I have loosed all bolts and can't adjust it correctly. I have loosened one at a time and still can do it right.

Re: Trunk Adjustment...How is it done? (92 Civic LX)
The only things that are adjustable are the hinges, stoppers and the striker and maybe the latch/lock.
The hinges will adjust "centering" of lid, so gap at rear and side of lid are even.
The stopper adjust how far down the lid will go.
The striker and latch will also adjust hoe far down the lid will go and how tightly it is held in place as well as centering the lid.
A pix of gap may help. 94

I adjusted the trunk the best I could yesterday for nearly 2 hours ...it looks better but it's not what I want. Also the trunk has a hard time closing, as if the striker bar is too far from the latch because I have to slam the trunk to close it.
Here's some pics:
Misaligned a bit...
Trunk leaks from the Left side(this side)
Right side looks tight...I guess?
