1999 Accord AC control question
I just replaced my AC control unit, like I did a few years ago when the original one stopped working. As usual the lights started to blink and then finally went out for good. Anyway.....I just installed the one I received today and all of the buttons light up and function except for the AC button. The one I really want to work! Bad part? Something else maybe? Not sure where to start troubleshooting next. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If it blows cold air then it isn't really a problem. The light bulb may just be burned out. If it doesn't blow cold air then you got a bad unit and you will have to replace it again. I get replacements at the junkyard for about $15. If you really want to fix the bulb, and it is just a bulb problem, you can take it apart but you'll need a good bulb and I suggest taking pictures as you go because there are quite a few little niggly steps to take and little screws. I've done it. Putting it back together is another annoyance but can be done. You may break something in the process of taking it apart and putting it back together so be prepared to get another unit one way or the other.
The "manual" AC boards in the 6th gens seem to go bad pretty often. There are some write ups about "fixing" them with a jumper wire added to the pcb.
