92 Accord LX
Hello,
I come here to you all today to see if you can help me figure this out.
My 92 Accord LX started in the driveway, I got a text on my phone, answered it and then the car died and refuses to start. Those are my symptoms. I have replaced the timing belt and cylinder head when I got the car, new distributor cap and rotor about 4 months or so ago, new battery, new TCU/TCM, new spark plugs, new plug wires. All connections appear to be good, I have not tested for spark yet but im wondering if my rotor or dist cap can go bad that quickly? I did opt for the cheaper one at O'reilleys auto parts. Also FYI there are no check engine codes. As far as I can tell this thing just wont start, it cranks just no start. I really think its the Dist cap and rotor but would they really go bad so soon? Please and thank you for any help or speculation.
*edit* Oh also when it died it was as if I had just turned it off, no sputtering or any strange sounds at all, just died and won't restart...

So update,
A mechanic told me there may be condensation in the distributor and that I should spray WD-40 all around the inside and let it dry to rid the distributor of water... And now it works fine..... What the deuce? As far as I could tell it was bone dry in there beforehand, can a little moisture really prevent the car from starting??? This is nutz, I mean I sat around for hours trying to start the car, for 2 days...
