Default S/C vs Turbo For DD w/ minimal track usage

I found a older thread but didn't have much feedback on the topic and left many questions unanswered for me. I just really would like to know the selling point that made owners go the supercharged route over a turbo setup? I am looking for opinions from street cars really because that's what my intentions are for the car. I know the rotrex/SOS superchargers have their stamp in road racing, but I need some daily driver opinions.

I have priced out a setup and the Rotrex is going to run me about the same as a turbo setup. I'm no noob when it comes to turbo setups had various B series setups in the past so I know the sensation of a 400+hp boosted car and it's def fun but other than highway pulls left much to be wanted otherwise in terms of driving twisties/backroads etc.

Keeping the stock 6spd trans and I want it to live so kind of swaying towards the rotrex for the sheer fact that turbo setups tend to be more violent and produce way more torque destroying transmissions. I know a turbo setup stomps a supercharger for power under the curve, I guess I'm just not wanting to waste a crap load of money on the supercharger and be disappointed if my car feels like a all motor car until 6,000+rpms lol. Car is a stock block ap1.

Intentions: Major street usage, drives to work etc, trying to get more into HPDE but not super serious about it, may attend 5 track days a entire year.

Guidance, opinions, help, videos anything?....

Honestly, I don't own an S2k or anything, but I feel like for daily driving the supercharger would be far simpler then a turbo setup other then that I think a properly sized turbo will give you all the fun you want for the twisities and still perserve your transmission and you can tune how hard the power comes in.

I have/had my S turbocharged and now currently running the SOS kit, with the reason for change being heat. The turbo produces tons more heat than my current Novi1200 blower. Not to mention my sc kit is easier to tune and has less "moving" parts. Don't get me wrong, a turbo S is awesome for the street with the proper kit, tune, and support mods. Your diff will blow before the transmission, also boost by gear with the turbo saves the transmission and for some, their diffs too

Power/Speed wise for street usage does the supercharger even compare to your previous turbo setup in terms of fun to drive factor? Does the car feel just like the turbo setup minus the midrange torque. On S2ki everyone seems to love their Novi with the higher boost/larger charger making 420ish whp, seems like enough for the street.

Yes. The Novi 1200 that can produce 420-450whp on the street isn't something to ignore. C6 vettes are pissed at me, the new camaros and stangs of all trims are pissed at me lol. To be honest, my car revs so fast and it gets into the rpms quick that its hard to compare the midrange between the two set-ups.

Well that's reassuring to hear, I was under the impression that the low torque output kept the supercharged s2ks from being competitive against higher torque V8 cars.
