I need to order the part in the picture (not my picture by the way, but it's an EM1). In the parts diagram from Honda Parts Unlimited, it looks like it should be #6, but the diagram doesn't match up. There are 2 separate hoses attached to what looks like metal tubing when it should be direct from the throttle body to the thermostat housing. Could someone take a look at the website and see if you can find it? Thank you.

It is #6 and there should be a metal tube that it connects to. #5 is the other half of it. The one in the picture is generic coolant line that someone has used in place of the OEM parts.

Yes I think you can just use a generic 5/16 fuel line for this.

A lot of people just bypass the whole system. It is designed to help running in extremely cold weather but in a warmer climate you don't need to run coolant through the FITV and IACV. To do that make a loop from the nipple on the head directly to the one on the water pipe across the back of the engine.

 

I thought about doing that, but I live in the northeast, although our winters aren't that bad anymore. I think that hose section must have come with my Greddy turbo kit that I had 14 years ago.

 

With an aftermarket intake, the double pipe that connects the valve cover vent to the stock intake hose usually gets removed. This requires re-routing the water hoses.
