Recently picked up a 93 Civic Si. Interior is overall in fantastic condition but has a few missing clips/fasteners and the like. I'm determined to get this car as complete/clean as possible, so I don't want any missing components or rough edges.

I noticed while driving it back to my place that there seems to be something missing from the interior roof in the front of the car. Any ideas as to what this is, or what should go there?

You missing the plug or cover for open and close the sun roof manually

 

yup. someone had issues with the roof at some point and probably lost or broke it. they tend to be brittle.

 

Ah sheiss... I knew the sunroof had issues (currently has a crack in the glass and some idiot just RTV'd the seals closed) so I haven't even tried opening it to see if the motor works. Have an ill feeling now that the motor may be shot which I know is a PITA to replace.

Also, sorry for being such an idiot about this but if anyone has a picture or part number for what that missing piece is I'd appreciate it. I seriously just can't find it in that diagram, I've never really seen one before so it's hard to know what I'm looking for. I promise I'm trying :/

That's the one. It's also brown. BUT - you're better off installing a map light there instead. Way more functional and it was a stock feature on overseas Civics (Japan, Europe).
