Default fuel feed question

just had a quick question. im ordering all the parts to complete my fuel filter tuck. i have been over all 30 some pages of the fuel line conversion thread, been through 1100 pages of the shaved bay thread so far (im on vacation, nothing better to do lol). heres my current setup: i have a BDL rail, stock feed on passenger side, drivers side large port on end is plugged, regulator is mounted to the top of the rail on the drivers side along with a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge.

can i just flip the fuel inlet to the drivers side end port and be done?

Theres a few threads on this..

Im trying to comprehend what your saying..

Usually, the fitting goes on the hard line, using -4 line, to an inline filter from Earls or whatever, then from there to the rail.

Theres hardline to -4 fittings available. B&M has them

I think it cost me about 125 bucks for everything to do. But theres kits available..

B&M fittings which is an HT sponsor has kits available.

i think u mean b&R Fittings

Find the Right Automotive Parts Buy Online | B&R Fittings

This post confused me as well, I THINK what he is trying to do is put the feed and return line on the same side of the rail, which I dont think would work at all

I apologize for being confusing guys. I have been pouring over these threads getting ideas, ordering parts etc. My fingers werent typing what my brain was thinking. Take 2 :

My Oem fuel feed comes out of the firewall and connects to the passenger side of the fuel rail. Can I move this to the drivers side of the rail, and simply plug the port that was intially the fuel inlet?

I want the fuel feed to be on the drivers side of the rail.

The return line comes from my regulator that is mounted on top of the rail so ide assume all that can stay the same.

pretty sure you want the fuel to flow through the rail from one side to the other...the additional plug you are looking at on the drivers side would be for using a universal type of FPR

Thats why im asking...I wasnt sure if the fuel filled the rail and it was up to the injectors to use the fuel as they require and what ever is left exits where the regulator is attatched. Didnt know of "flow direction" actually mattered or if it was more of a fill the rail and use what it needed sort of thing. If that makes sense.

In the other thread, there were several people that ran the feed to the drivers side, but it was unclear what the regulator setup was.

In theory, the regulator is just a restrictor of sorts, if im thinking of it correctly. Its just restricting the return, creating pressure in the system. Therefore, in my head, I thought it shouldnt matter really where the feed comes from.

yup as long as it pressurizes the rail with no air pockets, only thing is entry and return would be very close to each other, Im really not sure perhaps someone with experience with this can be more help
