I have a 94 ej2 d15b7. So I hit a deer doing 70mph last weekend and now every once in a while I'll hit the breaks and the speedometer will drop to zero and catch and bounce a few times, at the same time the speakers will stop playing. I noticed the SRS dims a touch when I hit the breaks... Ideas anybody? So far I've replaced the valve cover ground and swapped the VSS out of my extra tranny. Has vx cluster with tach

Wow that radiator took a real blow, its amazing if it doesn't leak. Glad your ok though.

Have you checked your trans ground? It looks like it maybe in the damaged area, and i cant spot it in the pictures. I would also check for anything that could have been knocked loose/shorting out. Especially something silly grounding on the now dented hood under the force of braking. Theres big dent right over the battery even.

 

After work I cleaned all the grounds and terminals and did some tests.. At idle with no load my battery is at 15.08v seems high? But the problem I was having didn't happen today so hopefully its fixed.. Getting a new hood and going to try and straighten the support in the morning

 

Oh and when I hit the deer it flew over top of my car ��

 

A hammer and a block of wood could get the hood decent looking, idk about the rad support.

Yeah deer are a menace. After a few close calls i have even considered adding a push bar. Just to keep them out of the windshield lol.
