Stock 89 civic wagovan no crank
My manual 89 civic Wagovan has no signal to the s terminal on the starter. It cranked fine twice this morning then the 3rd time, less than 5 minutes later, nothing. Remote starter switch fires it right up. I jumped the neutral control switch and rechecked it. The s wire is getting juice at the ignition. Any ideas for next step?

Is that integral to or seperate of the main relay? I replaced the main with a pulled one a year ago for classic fuel pump prob. I found it, nevermind and thank you!
If it is an automatic I am pretty sure there is no starter relay, the Automatic Gear Position Switch is most likely your problem, the starter signal from the ign. switch goes through the AGPS, adjust the switch if out of adjustment, clean the switch if dirty, replace the switch if defective, or you can jump it temporarily, [don't forget if you jump it you do not have neutral safety, engine can be started in gear.
First try starting the engine while moving the shifter from park to neutral, or just off park or neutral, if that works adjust AGPS.
If it is a standard, check Clutch Interlock Switch and/or starter relay. 94

I was crusing other resources and someone suggested putting a main relay in the freezer... I was skeptical but my starter relay was't working. It worked, car started right up! Not a permanant fix, I ordered another but handy diagnosis trick.
The PGM-FI Main Relay has nothing to do with cranking the engine.
The Starter relay will be a 4 pin relay, 30 from ign. switch, 85 will be a jumper from 30 or also from the ign. switch 87 goes to starter, 86 is from the CIS, the switch supplies a ground when you step on the clutch, to test, supply a ground directly from chassis to 86, if engine cranks check/replace the CIS, if still no crank, replace starter relay. 94
