Default Kenji p28 ecu w OBD1 conversion....

I have a 98 type R with the p28 ECU with OBD1 from Kenji. MY friend has a 00 Civc si and he wants to get this for his car too but wanted to test it out first. We tried wiring it up to his Civic cut the car wouldnt turn on. Is there something else we were forgeting? We use the OBD1 conversion and it fit perfectly. Does this ECU not work with Civic SI's? Any help would be much appreciated!

you need to have a 99-00 obd1-2 harness. Yours is for 96-98.

maybe you are on vtec all the time.
I just received a Kenji's ECU yesterday and I am impressed with his professional job done to the harness and ECU. FIRST IMPRESSION; I took a spin, waited for the water temp gauge to go up and step on th gas. Holy RPM just shoots up redline in matter of second. I definitely can feel the torque improved at lower range(2000-4500)than a Yoshio-tuned ecu. VTEC transition is also more smoother and louder. I will dyno my car next week. I need to see improvements in eyes.
MY mods:
Jun 3 IN cam
Stock EX cam
Hytech header
custom 2.5 with stock muffler
Icebox with stock elbow
Stock bottom end

With these mods I made 184hp and 122 tq at the wheel.
