+1 on this, I have a 09 with the r18 as well and I've been using NGK plugs and have no issues at all with them. I use NGK on all my past Hondas/Acuras.

Do these need gapping?

On the under side of the hood is a label with the recommended plugs for your car, get them. 94

Plugs should be pre-gaped but it can't hurt to check them. 94

I pulled the NGK iridium plugs from a 2008 Civic 1.8L engine at 85K miles and they looked good. I will let the new NGK iridium set go for 100K miles minimum, based on the performance of the prior set. They don't seem to wear out.
The manufacturer calls for a gap of .044" for reference.

You can get the Bosch iridiums too, they are a little cheaper than the NGK if your are in a budget. I have them on my car. 12K miles on them and no issues.
