i have a 96 dx hatchback and was wondering what the name of my motor was. i think the 96-00 coupe is a d16z6 er sumthin. does anyone have a list of the names of all the motors and what model they are in and the specs??

 

d16z6 is 92-95 si/ex. yers is prolly a d16y7

 

look on your block

 

Coupes have nothing to do with engines..i have a 1996 Sedan EX and its a D16Y8...go look on your block..in ur manuel it will show you picturse of hte location of ur engine code ..

 

search...

 

the 96-98 DX motor is the D16Y7, its posted on the driver side of the engine, on like a large bar code lookin sticker, i dont know about yours but thats where mine is.

 

Pop the hood and look at your motor.

 

 

all 96-00 DX's or LX's have the D16Y7

Aren't the 92-95 non-vtec motors D15B7. I have a 92 LX and I'm pretty sure that's what mine is.

 

Again LOOK AT YOUR MOTOR!!!!!!!! It will tell you what it is, are you that freaking retarded that you cant pop your hood and look at your motor?
