Default EM1 Wheels With S2K Brakes?

Hey guys, I have a 99 Ex and I want to make it look like a stock SI. I really want to run factory EM1 wheels but i'm not sure if they will clear over my S2K front brakes. Does anybody have any experience with this set up or can point me in the right direction?

BTW I have 16" China knock off wheels right now.

I can just barely fit my pinky between the caliper and wheel

How? If I may ask? Some wheels of the same size have different internal diameters.

Do you have S2000 sized rotors? Or just calipers?

You need a minimum 16" wheel to clear actual S2000 brakes.

Factory Honda 15" wheels are STUFFED to the gills when using ITR or ITR sized brakes (11" rotor and ITR caliper/bracket). S2000's have a rotor that's almost 1" bigger in diameter than ITR rotors.

if those are 16 than you can measure an inch and see of your tape measure touches the caliper.

Fixed.

But that's assuming that the barrels are the same design as stock

I think i'm s.o.l. on the 15's. Anyone ever shaved brake calipers for clearance purposes?

My rotors are from an Rsx Type s from what i understand. I'm reading that they are actually pretty small. Maybe this could work :/

Reading?

RSX S rotors are the same diameter as S2000 rotors. 11.8", IIRC.

I'm glad this thread came up. I was considering putting s2k brakes on my em1, but I'm glad to know they won't fit the factory rims before I started buying stuff.

I shaved calipers before with no problems but I suggest making exact measurement before trying most of mine take less than 1/8 on sides
