Project EP3 K Series
Stumbled across this deal, couldn't pass it up!! I know the EP3 wasn't the most popular car Honda released, but it was a pretty good chassis overall. I live in Canada, and when this car came out, it had a sticker of $26,800, which at the time was crazy. I bought a brand new rsx back then for only $500 more, and got a lot more for my money, lol
Anyway, due to the engine choice and price back then, they did not sell many, that is why they are much more rare than other models. It was a unique venture that Honda had agreed to manufacture the car out of the UK only, which probably was one of the reasons the price was hiked on them. In Canada it was sold as an SiR, the US is was an Si, and the only engine choice was the K20A3, but it was fully loaded, still fun to drive and had many nice design features.....and lots of future K series tuning/swapping potential which brings us to today!!
I ran into an auto tech picking up an extra block was selling for parts last weekend. While he stopped by, we got to talking, him seeing i had a couple Honda projects on the go. He proceeded to tell me about this EP3 he got last year signed over to him, due to a customer no pay on another job, and this car was just sitting around. He just wanted it gone, and offered it cheap!
Picked it up for 2k Canadian, about $1500 US dollars

Pro's-
Only 204 km's or 120 Miles original, not bad for year
Clean car, straight, no accidents
15" Work wheels
Excedy multi dish clutch and lighweight flywheel
Spoon N1 Exhaust
Tien Coilovers with adjustable pillowmounts
Seibon Hood and rear spoiler
AEM Intake
Pioneer double din with bluetooth and nav
Interior carbon fiber dress up kit
alarm
new windshield
Type R grill and rear badging
Cons-
Way to low for Canada roads for a DD
N1 exhaust to loud for the street!
some wear on drivers seat bottom
OEM body kit was removed at some point
Paint need attention in some spots
Give me some time, but i will turn this around for a very fun, and comfortable daily driver, as that's what it is replacing

^^ Not sure, but they do exist, and definetly pop up from time to time. I had just a regular 2000 civic SE sedan as my winter car, till I sold it last week for $1600. Some guy came by last weekend to p/u an extra k24 engine I had sitting around for parts. When he saw the cars I was into, he mentioned how he got this car in trade of payment for a head job he did for a customer last fall, as the kid couldn't pay up his bill, so the car was signed over. The tech who had it, didn't want the car at all, just wanted it gone and offered it to me.
Did I hesitate, no! LoL

I'm assuming you already know this, but you'll lose your dimmer if you install that cluster. That killed it for me.
Great pickup on the car; that's an awesome price. I'm amazed they still make the fabric for the seats.

I plan to clean the car up well, make it comfortable, quick and fun! Don't really want to any conversions to this ride, i have a fully built cr-x ans em1 for that.....faster than the average pumpkin out their, lol
B18C-R 2000 EM1

B18C-R 1989 CR-X (almost completed)

Nice crx and em1 as well 👍👍
Got some updates i'll post right away.......
Got the interior cleaned up well, and slowly been figuring out how this stereo works with my phone, lol

Picture of the Canadain SiR stock cluster

Got a buddy who works in upholstery to help with removal and install of the hog rigs so I was able to finish the seat cover swap. Here is an initial picture of it back in the car. Note, the Recaro seats in this car are recommended b the manufacture itself to be cleaned with a solution of Woolite, 6 parts water to one part soap for proper cleaning and restore of the seat cover material. I will be going over all the other seats very soon!

Due to this car being loaded, and not in need of of a full resto, I'm just going going to put my efforts here. I put the Integra and many resto parts up for sale, great stuff for anyone looking. The JDM B18C swap is making it's way into my already restored em1, that car will really hold its own, almost done!
Thanks for checking in
