Hey guys, my brother's 95 Accord is overheating and he doesn't know why. It's also reving up and down for some reason since this started. Does anyone know how to resolve this? How do you know if the thermostat is stuck??

Feel the hose after the t-stat and see if it is hot.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR. my engine jsut got toasted.
the random reving is the overheating of the engine. you might blow your head gasket or your engine.

 

It seems like everyones car is over heating at the sametime including mine. U should search a few pages back. Alot of people have been having similar problems within the past 2 weeks & alot of good opinions were tossed out.

 

Check to make sure radiator is full. Make sure reservoir is topped off.
Probably needs a new thermostat.
Surging idle may be due to stuck fast idle thermo valve.
