Default Hta86 turbo. Think something is wrong

Hey guys. I just got my Hta 86 back from forced performance. It seems weird. My old GT35 was Much larger. The inlet was 4 inch. It's now 3.25. Not sure where I'm going to get a filter from. The compressor exit was 2.5 it's now 2... I'm not sure how this is supposed to support 750 800HP...

Looks like you got an Evo/Subaru based turbo back as the compressor housing looks like a MHI derived design.

Maybe check that your job card did't get mixed up. I agree it should of used the GT35 housings.

Did you take the housing off and measure the wheels. The e housing is prolly just ported to fit

i measured it. its 62 like it should be. but how could a compressor housing that small support 800hp. i know they say its rated for 730 but ive seen likes in the 780 810 range

I dont think itll have problems flowing up to there, due to the wheel size. In fact itll respond alittle fastter with the E housing. Theres alot of companies and people that port smaller housings for big wheels.

Unless your talking about surging. I think itll be fine

ok i called them and the confusion was they used to port the old housings but now they have their own. also the hta has been replaced with the htz. lots of sites are not up to date so i thought i received the wrong turbo back. all is good.
