What methods can I use to put color on fasteners that a wrench won't take off?
I painted my LCAs before putting them back together, really smart on my part. Is there a way to put the bolts/nuts in without chipping the paint off of them? I realize I could install them then tape them off so I can paint them after install, but that sounds like more work.
I was thinking about getting them anodized, would a wrench chip that coating off? I've chipped anodized stuff before. What sort of coating won't be chipped by a wrench/socket?
I was reading about using a latex glove, masking tape, nylon pantihose, etc over the fastener so simple paint won't chip off. What do you guys think?

I love that you also painted the bushings. On a serious note, aside from the methods you mentions regarding tape on the bolt head that is my only suggestion.

I guess i did paint the threads on the inside of the L.C.A., I'll probably clean those off with a metal pipe cleaner drill attachment thing and then put anti-seize on the threads.
I was going to paint the nuts & bolts today but I got distracted doing yard work
