Default HELP identifying my brakes!

I bought a 93 Civic hatch that's debadged and can't seem to find the correct brake pads. I purchased from Rock auto twice now and have gotten the wrong pad. There is only two trim option for me the 1.5 and the 1.6 and I was sent the wrong part for both trim!

stop wasting money on shipping brah!!!

bring ur pads into a parts store and try ...... After you find one that matches up in store, then u know what pads you need and can buy them on rockauto.

1993 civic DX / LX
1993 civic EX
2007 TSX

Someone else tell us if there's another common size caliper i'm forgetting. Like, it can be a real BBK or something but I doubt it.

Hey guy, post pics of the calipers any stamps that are on them.

Drum brakes in the back? If so it would be safe to say dx, which is the 1.5.

Idk, judging by your rotors that may be more than a pad fitment issue.

And somebody correct me if I'm wrong but is there really even a difference between dx and ex brakes? The 1" increase really changes it?

The pads from an EX won't fit in a DX, and vice versa. Shape is probably similar, but they're not compatible.

Take and post a picture of the back of the caliper. The is an alpha-numeric number stamped on there along with the brand name Nissin.

That will get us close. It will also depend on the bracket.

Assuming you have stock calipers and brackets, you can put your VIN in an online Honda parts catalog, find the part number for you pads and then cross reference that with Rock Auto part number.

So......the VIN # on the car doesn't tell you what model you have? You didn't bother asking the previous owner what it was? Just bought a car and didnt' care for previous records of any sort of maintenance?

Run your VIN through any Honda parts website to determine the trim level of your car. Stop wasting your own time and money.

for some reason, people don't seem to value records of anything from oil changes, repairs & maintenance, or even performance modifications.

So I ran my vin, I found out it is the CX model, and the origin of the car is from Canada. Could you guys please link me to rockauto with the correct brake pad for my car? Because I ordered the 1.5 last time and it didn't fit. I'd like ceramic if possible and axxis/pbr

The rotors look like Power Stop cross drilled and slotted, just like the ones on my 94 Integra, maybe a swap was made, although not sure why the rear drums where not also done.

So maybe look at Integra brake pads. 94
