Need some input on engine mods for the stock d16
I have a 2000 Civic and after some debating i decided against an initial engine swap. That being said what are some recommendations for turbo kits/headers/ect. under 1500 bucks that you guys have actually done and or had good/great results with (whether name brand or no namer china). not looking for ideas that have never been done. If i go turbo I'd like to stick around 7lbs of boost due to the car remaining as my daily driver until next spring.
Save that 1500 for a swap, better kit, or suspension + track time. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, $1500 wont get you a turbo kit that will actually work and last.
I'd rather not save for a swap. I have a ls engine and trans in my garage that I can swap for at any time. but i dont want to do that till I either run this motor out (it only has 106k on the engine) or I get a 2nd civic to put it in. thus why i asked for input on a cheaper yet reliable build, that in turn I can put in a different civic or keep around my garage once I actually invest more money into the swap.

Please check out the FAQ sticky at the top of the forum.
Then you can also check out the sticky threads in the Forced Induction section.
Between the two you will be able to find a lot of tried and true methods posted and their results.

OK tires- (assuming you hopefully have 15" wheels)- 205-50-15 Yokohama S Drive- $330 plus shipping
hawk hps pads- 70
brembo blank front rotors- 100 plus shipping
koni yellow/gc sleeve setup- 900
that leaves you 100 to go get your new alignment.

Force induction is your only option. Look into a quality kit that, if need be, keeps you legit in your country, state, city.

I work for an automotive company and recently got access to discount pirelli tires, and i already have the brembo rotors. but thanks for the suggestion. And for the forced induction Id like to stay away from kits and buy separately unless someone has a relatively lower priced but good kit reccomendations.
