2001 gs acura integra factory alarm problem... door locks before you can open.
hello i have been experiencing this problem with my teg for the past 6 months. if i hit unlock on my key fob, the lights will flash as if it is unlocking. i can see the door lock move and then lock back really fast if i try to grab handle, i then can put in the key and open the door that way.
please any input i do not want to take it to honda and get charged $60 dollars for them to tell me its a relay or somthin

for instance when i get out of my car and hit lock on key fob it locks the car, later when i hit unlock it lights up and does somthing. i have to then put the key in, if i put key in before hitting unlock it lights up the alarm
Your car has "central locking" there is a switch in each door lock actuator, remove door panels and unplug the actuator, one door at a time, try the remote unlock, see if it works with one or the other actuators unplugged, if so, the actuator that is unplugged is bad, replace 94
i do not think is is involving just the one door, you can hear all actuators move and then they lock right back if i pull on the handle. it seems as if it is something else, is this the only possible thing it could be? thank you for your input it is appreciated
Operative word here is "central" locking, what happens at one door happens at both doors.
Door locks are controlled by the Door Lock Control unit with signals from the RF unit and/or the switches in the door lock actuator.
If unplugging either door lock actuator does not solve the problem then the Door Lock Control unit is the problem, only way to tell is to unplug the actuators to confirm or eliminate them as the problem. 94

well tell me what think of this. today after leaving work... it was allot warmer today and i hit unlock and worked. i think it has somthing to do with hot and cold because it has worked before on nice warm days but this winter has been no go.

Follow fcm's advice on diagnosing the problem. Chances are it's an actuator going bad or a lock rod jamming up behind one of the doors.
