best way to fill trim holes...?
Im going to remove the trim from the side of the car and im looking for the best way to fill those holes.
1.welding and if so what all does this involve?
2. fiberglass. i think i could do this myself. ive worked with fiberglass a little bit before and it doesnt seem like such a huge job to fill those holes and just sand them down. any suggestions as to prep work? specific kind of fiberglass?
3. bondo? is this suggested over fiberglass or would i use fiberglass first as a back and then go over it with bondo?

if your shaving the whole thing.
WELD! if you try shaving with bondo it cracks after a couple times of closing the door.
i believe when welding you cut a pice of aluminum(could be wrong with metal type) tack weld it on. grind it down smooth with grinder, weld full thing on, grind again. then sand. and paint.
i may be wrong. i've seen it done this way before.

If youre filling in just the clip holes you will need to weld it. This will be very hard and time consuming. Honda metal is very thin guage and it is so easy to warp when welding. So i would take it really slow, use some like 20 guage sheet metal, then grind it all down and cover it with some body filler. Many hours of sanding and filling later it might be smooth. I plan on doing this very soon but dread it because it is a very hard mod. Good luck with it
