I have a 1996 Accord EX 4 door sedan. Recently my master switch broke while the window was all the way down. Now I have no way of rolling it up. Trying to keep the rain out, can someone help me with the plug (screen shot attached) and tell me how to jump the pins so I can get the window to roll up again?
Verify the wire colors on the other side of the connector before attempting.
To raise driver's window:
Jump the terminal cavity #7 (Grn/Wht wire) to terminal cavity #8 (Red/Yel wire). For example, Grn/wht is a wire with green color insulation with a white stripe running through it.
I had a similar problem. What I did was to remove the door panel, look for the wires of the window motor, make a little cut and jump it with a battery booster.
Dear tech8, thank you sir for pointing me to the right direction. I want to put out the solution so it can help someone else. The correct wiring jumps are a little bit different than tech8 suggested as shown in the picture for my Accord EX 4 Door (Red/Blue to Red/Yellow and Grn/White to Black)
You do NOT need to pry off the door panel as wire jump is a much simpler and easier solution that if a noob like me can fix it - so can you.
I just saved $300 quoted by local mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem. The window is rolled up so no more rain and I also know it is not the motor, just ordered $25 replacement switch from ebay and gonna profit
