ot: whats the difference between a vtec and non vtec dist?

 

They are the same internally. The legs are in different places though.

 

ok, one more...so say i want to put my obd1 non vtec dist. on a vtec head, what would i have to modify...sorry im retarded

All you have to do is cut the leg off that is closest to the Vtecc solenoid with a saw...make sure its the right leg though...I messed up and cut the top let off the first time I did it

You will only use one bolt to hold the distributer when you do this (the top bolt)...don't worry though, its enough to hold it in good and tight...
