Icon5 99 Civic Si G23 Mounts

Heyo, I'm doing a G23 build which I want to transplant into my 99 Civic Si, and have a few questions.

1) What mounts will work for the F23 bottom end, and what modification is needed for the engine to fit in without bumping into the hood.

2) What axles will work? Assuming I need to upgrade... buddy mentioned DA Integra axles?

3) Exhaust, will an H22A exhaust work with minimal modification?

Thanks!

1.) The H and F family use mostly the same engine mounts. You will need to source a H22 driver's side engine mount bracket (the thing the timing cover fits around that the engine mount itself bolts to), but otherwise a H22-Civic mount kit should work just fine.

2.) DA Axles are supposed to work. From my research, the transmission-side stub on the passenger side axle (I assume you're in a left-hand drive country) is a little bit too short, and so the circlip needs to be expanded a bit to have more positive tension in what amount of the internal bevel it engages. They also don't work well lowered more than an inch or so, but that's also a ymmv thing. You also need a 90-93 Accord manual trans intermediate shaft to bolt to the backside of the block.

3.) You'll most likely need a H2B header, at least I'm assuming you will.

You already have a good transmission there. Unless you're popping in a H22-pattern LSD trans with the G23, you might as well get a H2B kit and keep your stock transmission and axles.

Also, why build a G23 when the H23A Vtec engines are on eBay for $1000 delivered?

Need to put h series inner cv joint (the part that goes into transmission) on the DA axle.

Also can recommend to use the balance shaft eliminator kit, and if hydraulic belt tensioner a manual tensioner is recommended.
